Greenpower Mobility – All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Greenpower creates, manufactures and distributes a variety of heavy and medium-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses, school buses as cargo buses and shuttles. EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of personalization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship model, and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The platform's design is based on a clean sheet of paper, which allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better range/payload ratios. The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks' one interior wall structure and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and an industry leading payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation. GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to quickly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW. We were able to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it easy to drive and comfortable to drive over long distances. The EV9 can block wind and road noise while on the highway. It is smooth on bumps and ruts. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow “one pedal driving” by simply lifting the accelerator. The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in just three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque and cruise control, as well as handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both are fun to drive and offer a unique driving experience for anyone that has not driven an electric vehicle before. In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. electric power scooters is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, transit or microtransit buses, vanpools, or paratransit vehicles. GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric cars. electric power scooters will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming.
